Test automation for A+E's TV Everywhere apps — History, History Vault, A&E, Lifetime and FYI — on Amazon Fire TV, Android TV and Apple TV.
A+E Global Media runs some of the best-known TV brands, and each one ships its own streaming app on every living-room platform. We built one shared test suite for the TV Everywhere apps of History, History Vault, A&E, Lifetime and FYI on Amazon Fire TV, Android TV and Apple TV.
The suite covers free and subscription experiences — browsing, search, shows and seasons, live TV, the player, Continue Watching, sign-in through TV providers and voice prompts — and runs on real devices with Appium and WebdriverIO. A custom Oclif CLI drives the runs, CI pulls test builds automatically, and reports with screen recordings go to the team after every run.
